How big of a fan of “Child’s Play” are you?

Do you think that you’re such a big fan that you could watch a near five hour documentary? If so then stick around because this documentary was made with you in mind, the ultimate ‘Chucky’ fan who wants to know every single little detail and behind the scenes stories.

With these documentaries you know what you’re in for, a bunch of talking heads telling their stories about their experiences with the franchise. It may sound boring to some but it’s the content that fans want and with it’s long running time there’s plenty of that here for fans to take in.

Despite the fact that I did enjoy this documentary, I do have a few gripes with it. Having a full ninety minutes on the first feature and then giving less time to the sequels was a shame, plus the fact that there was so much left out such as the popular TV show.

Like I said I did enjoy this but I think it could’ve maybe worked better as an episodic series, a set running time focusing on each film and even talk about other ‘Chucky’ projects such as the reboots that brought ‘Chucky’ to a whole new generation, same with the TV show.

“Doc Of Chucky” is certainly not going to be for everyone, but if you’re a big fan of ‘Chucky’ then I’m sure you’ll enjoy this documentary, even if you split it up into multiple viewings. If you still think this is too much for you but still want to watch a documentary on our favourite killer doll then I recommend the other ‘Chucky’ doc, “Living With Chucky”.
