Ten Years On: Intruders

For this ‘Ten Years On’ post we take a look back at “Intruders”.

Sadly some films just fly under the radar.

In my opinion that’s what seemed to happen with this feature and I just don’t understand why. The premise alone it good enough that it should draw viewers in, I know it worked on me, my curiosity was extremely peaked when I read that synopsis.

When I finished watching it I was left with a huge grin on my face, the film took you on such a wild ride that took twists and turns that nobody saw coming. I expected people to be raving about this film, I thought it was gonna be a hit with Horror fans.

Bizzarely that didn’t happen, I tried talking about this film with people and was left telling people to please watch it as I thought, and hoped, they’d enjoy it as much I did. I was seriously dumbfounded that viewers seemed to have let this one fly by.

Sadly though this is a common occurence, with so many films being released it’s inevitable that some films get lost in the shuffle. No matter how good a film is, it doesn’t guarantee the audience it deserves, not unless you’re backed by a multi billion dollar studio anyway.

Ten years on and I’m still telling people to watch this film, sure it’s gained a few viewers over the years but in my opinion it deserved more. If you’re someone who still hasn’t seen it then I plead with you to give it a chance.
