A film trailer is supposed to be an advertisement, a snippet of the film, it’s supposed to make you want to watch the film. How many times have you seen a trailer and thought to yourself “Well no need to watch the film now, it just showed everything in that trailer!”?
They seem to get longer and longer every year, the average trailer used to last 30 sec to 1 minute, now the average trailer lasts 2-4 minutes.
All I’m saying really is, is that I want mystery back in my trailers! It’s been soooooo long since I saw a film trailer that left me thinking “I HAVE TO SEE THAT FILM!”
Just keep it short, leave us wanting more, don’t show us the film’s entire plot in one short film. Remember less is more!

The trailer for Super 8 was great, short sweet, and it made me want to at least find out what the heck it was about! XD
