I Just Cant Keep Up With It All!

There is no doubting the Horror genres huge popularity at the moment.

The trouble is, is that I find that I just can’t keep up with it all of it!

With so many TV shows and films being made I find myself trying desperately to play catch up all the time. Inevitably something always falls behind and get’s lost in the muddle of it all. Usually it ends up being movies I planned to watch or a new series I’ve heard about, then later on I remember I wanted to watch them but just can’t find the time to. I even tried writing a list once but it got too long.

With technology the way it is today I do have more freedom to watch what I want, when I want, but that doesn’t mean I can. There’s a little thing called life that gets in the way and even if I watched everything that I wanted to, including non-horror stuff then I’d never sleep. And I bet I’d still be behind on something.

There’s definitely been an over saturation of and with a new films being released all the time, from big budget to micro budget, from TV series to Horror shorts, there just always seems to be something to watch. I’m not complaining about the popularity of our genre but more for the fact of that there is a line of too much and that has definitely been crossed.
I’ve even got DVD’s that I’ve had for months that are still in their shrink-wrap just collecting dust, I do intend to watch them, I can’t tell you when I will though. We do live in a time of fantastic shows and films but there’s so many of them that some greats get cancelled or overlooked completely and it’s such a shame.

As I said at the beginning, I just can’t keep up with it all! Do you have the same problem or is it just me?
