For this ‘Ten Years On’ post we take a look back at “Slither”.

I remember seeing this trailer on TV with a few friends and we were instantly excited about it and knew we just had to watch it and that’s exactly what we did when it was released.

This film seemed to serve as a gateway film for a-lot of people to get into Horror and that’s always a good thing, I know a few who credit this for igniting their interest for more of the same.

The feature had a great cast with the likes of Nathan Fillion, Elizabeth Banks, Michael Rooker and more, they all do a great job and if this was done today with this cast it would be more of a big deal than it was in 2006.

Looking back at this film it really make me laugh that the guy who directed this, James Gunn, who also started at Troma, now works for Marvel and directed “Guardians Of The Galaxy”, this was the film that showed his potential.

Ten years on this is still a great film and one I still thoroughly enjoy watching, it has aged very well.
