A mere 200 yards from shore, surfer Nancy is attacked by a great white shark, with her short journey to safety becoming the ultimate contest of wills.
Who doesn’t love a killer shark movie?!
This film has had quite a lot of hype around it for a while now which usually puts me off till it’s all settled down but what can I say, I’m a huge sucker for this type of film.
I must say I surprised even myself as I found myself sat on the edge of my seat, gripped in the suspension and intensity of the film.
The special effects were amazingly done and the shark looked fantastic which shocked me as they usually end up looking like something out of a computer game.
It does have some downfalls though such as the fact that it takes a while to get going and there are a couple of scenes that are, well utterly stupid.
“The Shallows” is definitely worth giving a try, even if it’s just the one time watch.
