Horror Review: Starblood (2016)

Satori is desperate to win back his ex girlfriend, Star. He tries to summon a demon to command its help, but manages to bring Lilith, queen of the demons, into his bedroom, unleashing her on Earth.

I really do love it when people message me requesting to take a look at their work, it’s these upcoming artists that are the future of our genre.

Believe it or not I’m a big fan of comics and graphic novels but I rarely get to review them so I jumped at the chance to do this and I’m so glad I did as I think I’ve just discovered a new favourite in Carmilla Voiez.
Usually you can read a graphic novel and whilst it can be enjoyable it can also be forgettable, that’s not applicable here. This story will stick in your mind, both visually and with it’s amazing story.
Talking of the artwork, Anna Prashkovich does an amazing job here. It’s simplistic in it’s style but does enough to not distract from the story but also helps with the flow of and the impact of the story.
The story is filled with sex, gore, death and more sex, what more could you ask for? How about a story that never loses your attention and has a gothic tone with a modern twist to it, that’s exactly what you have here and it really is incredible.
I will definitely be keeping an eye out for more of Carmilla Voiez’s work, she certainly knows how to write a gripping story. Be sure to check out her work.
