Do you remember those fantastic 80’s Creature Features?
I do and I absolutely adore them, so much so that I still rewatch them quite often and so when I heard about this project I was immediately intrigued.
“Portal Popperz” is a 1980s-style creature feature in the spirit of films like Gremlins, that expertly balanced their laughs with screams.
Directed by special effects artist and toy designer, Jerry Macaluso, “Portal Popperz” will focus on traditional practical effects, puppets and good old-fashioned rubber monster suits. There will be NO digital creatures in this film.
The sound of this project sounds great and I seriously hope it manages to get the funding it needs to get completed.
