“Reader beware, you’re in for a scare…”
I don’t know about you but I was a Goosebumps kid through and through, it was all I would read and I give it a big credit for me being the huge Horror fan that I am today. Just hearing the name or seeing a picture of a boo or character is enough to put a huge smile on my face and fills my heart with pure nostalgia.
It’s crazy to think that even now, 26 years after it all started when “Welcome to Dead House”, the very first Goosebumps book was published, that Goosebumps is still so fondly remembered. It’s a true testament to R.L. Stine and the stories he created for an entire generation, that was then passed down to the next generation.
Nearly 30 years later and R.L. Stine is still going strong and this documentary takes us on a journey from the beginning to the now and all the highs and lows in between. It’s obviously been made by someone who is a big fan and it makes for really interesting viewing, especially for someone who still has a soft spot for the brand.
