My Best & Worst Films Of 2018

In this list I’m going to give you a run-down of my best & worst of 2018.

If you want to see the trailers for these films just click on the film name, I’d also like to point out they are in no particular favourite order, So here we go:

10×10 – A man abducts a flower shop owner and holds her captive in a small, soundproof room in an effort to extract a dark secret from her past.

Terrifier – A maniacal clown terrorizes three young women on Halloween night and everyone else who stands in his way.

The Domestics – In a terrifying post-apocalyptic world inhabited by gangs divided into deadly factions, a husband and wife race desperately across the countryside in search of safety and must work together as they are pushed to the breaking point in order to survive.

Another WolfCop – An alcoholic cop experiences blackouts and starts turning into a werewolf when the full moon appears in the sky.

The Ranger – Teen punks, on the run from the cops and hiding out in the woods, come up against the local authority – an unhinged park ranger with an axe to grind.

Malevolent – A brother-sister team that fabricates paranormal encounters for cash gets more than it bargains for when it takes a job in an estate with real paranormal activity.

Double Date – While Jim attempts to lose his virginity before he turns 30, he and his friend Alex meet two beautiful sisters, Kitty and Lulu, who seduce them as part of their plan of virgin sacrifice.

My Friend Dahmer – The true, haunting story of young Jeffrey Dahmer — the shy adolescent in high school who becomes a notorious serial killer years later.

Hostile – Juliette, a lone survivor of an apocalyptic era, fights to survive against hunger, thirst, a broken leg and strange, disturbing creatures that only come out at nighttime.

The Devil’s Doorway – In the fall of 1960, Father Thomas Riley and Father John Thornton were sent by the Vatican to investigate a miraculous event in an Irish home for ‘fallen women’, only to uncover something much more horrific.

Primal Rage – A newly reunited young couple’s drive through the Pacific Northwest turns into a nightmare as they are forced to face nature, unsavory locals, and a monstrous creature, known to the Native Americans as Oh-Mah.

Revenge – Never take your mistress on an annual guys’ getaway, especially one devoted to hunting – a violent lesson for three wealthy married men.

Pyewacket – A frustrated, angst-ridden teenage girl awakens something in the woods when she naively performs an occult ritual to evoke a witch to kill her mother.

Hereditary – After the family matriarch passes away, a grieving family is haunted by tragic and disturbing occurrences, and begin to unravel dark secrets.

Victor Crowley – Ten years after the events of the original movie, Victor Crowley is mistakenly resurrected and proceeds to kill once more.

Office Uprising – A worker at a weapons factory discovers an energy drink is turning his co-workers into zombies.

Stephanie – After a mysterious global crisis, a young girl is left alone to hide from a malevolent power that stalks her home. Her parents eventually return and the struggle begins to save their daughter.

Boar – In the harsh, yet beautiful Australian outback lives a beast, an animal of staggering size, with a ruthless, driving need for blood and destruction. It cares for none, defends its territory with brutal force, and kills with a raw, animalistic savagery unlike any have seen before.

The Ritual – A group of college friends reunite for a trip to the forest, but encounter a menacing presence in the woods that’s stalking them.

Winchester – Ensconced in her sprawling California mansion, eccentric firearm heiress Sarah Winchester believes she is haunted by the souls of people killed by the Winchester repeating rifle.

Puppet Master: Blitzkrieg Massacre – In an unknown dystopian future, a drifter with an unusually high-tolerance to pain is held captive in a horrific hospital by The Circle of Psycho Surgeons, a clandestine crew who are experimenting with human suffering.

Mom And Dad – A teenage girl and her little brother must survive a wild 24 hours during which a mass hysteria of unknown origins causes parents to turn violently on their own kids.

Veronica – Madrid, 1991. A teen girl finds herself besieged by an evil supernatural force after she played Ouija with two classmates.

The Barn – On Devil’s Night, several friends find an abandoned barn and awaken something evil inside it.

Marrowbone – A young man and his three younger siblings, who have kept secret the death of their beloved mother in order to remain together, are plagued by a sinister presence in the sprawling manor in which they live.

Cam – A camgirl has her principles, until a mysterious woman who looks just like her takes over her channel.

The Lodgers – A family curse confines orphaned twins Rachel and Edwards to their home, in punishment for their ancestors’ sins. Bound to the rules of a haunting childhood lullaby.

Incident In A Ghostland – A mother of two who inherits a house is confronted with murderous intruders on the first night in their new home and fights for her daughters’ lives. Sixteen years later when the daughters reunite at the house, things get really strange.

Downrange – Stranded at the side of the road after a tire blowout, a group of friends become targets for an enigmatic sniper.

Big Legend – An ex-soldier ventures into the Pacific Northwest to uncover the truth behind his fiance’s disappearance.

Mandy – The enchanted lives of a couple in a secluded forest are brutally shattered by a nightmarish hippie cult and their demon-biker henchmen, propelling a man into a spiraling, surreal rampage of vengeance.

Ghost Stories – Skeptical professor Phillip Goodman embarks on a trip to the terrifying after finding a file with details of three unexplained cases of apparitions.

Creep 2 – A video artist looking for work drives to a remote house in the forest to meet a man claiming to be a serial killer. But after agreeing to spend the day with him, she soon realizes that she made a deadly mistake.

Tragedy Girls – Following two death-obsessed teenage girls who use their online show about real-life tragedies to send their small mid-western town into a frenzy, and cement their legacy as modern horror legends.

Bloodlines: The Art And Life Of Vincent Castiglia – Vincent Castiglia paints in human blood. The haunting, yet beautiful, images are of human bodies in various forms of decay.

The Cloverfield Paradox – Orbiting above an Earth on the brink of catastrophic energy wars, scientists test a dangerous device that could provide unlimited power but also runs the risk of creating a terrifying paradox, leaving them face-to-face with a dark alternate reality.

What Keeps You Alive – Majestic mountains, a still lake and venomous betrayals engulf a female married couple attempting to celebrate their one-year anniversary.

The Endless – As kids, they escaped a UFO death cult. Now, two adult brothers seek answers after an old videotape surfaces and brings them back to where they began.

A Quiet Place – In a post-apocalyptic world, a family is forced to live in silence while hiding from monsters with ultra-sensitive hearing.

Cargo – After an epidemic spreads all over Australia, a father searches for someone willing to protect his daughter.

Summer Of ’84 – After suspecting that their police officer neighbor is a serial killer, a group of teenage friends spend their summer spying on him and gathering evidence, but as they get closer to discovering the truth, things get dangerous.

The Meg – After escaping an attack by what he claims was a 70-foot shark, Jonas Taylor must confront his fears to save those trapped in a sunken submersible.

Tremors: A Cold Day In Hell – Burt Gummer suspects that giant worms are being utilized as weapons at a research facility in Canada. He soon finds himself in a race against time to create an antidote from one of the creature’s venom to save his own life.

Halloween – Laurie Strode confronts her long-time foe Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago.

Slender Man – In a small town in Massachusetts, a group of friends, fascinated by the internet lore of the Slender Man, attempt to prove that he doesn’t actually exist – until one of them mysteriously goes missing.

The Basement – A seemingly innocent man is abducted by a notorious L.A. serial killer, who forces his victims to switch roles with him so that he can enact his own capture, torture and murder.

Don’t Leave Home – An American artist’s obsession with a disturbing urban legend leads her to an investigation of the story’s origins at the crumbling estate of a reclusive painter in Ireland.

Hens Night – Every woman gets one last night to go a little wild. Surrounded by her best friends, Jess sets out to have the most memorable bachelorette party ever. But a few unexpected surprises turn her last day of freedom into something terrifying.

Along Came The Devil – After a troubled childhood, Ashley searches for a connection, and unknowingly invites in a demonic force, which leaves her loved ones fighting for her soul.

Sick For Toys – A nice guy who always finishes last agrees to go on a dinner date with an alluring woman. Once he arrives, he realizes the woman and her brother are not what they seem.

Island Zero – A fishing community on a remote Maine island finds itself suddenly cut off from the rest of the world after the ferry stops coming. When people start to vanish, the terrified survivors realize that someone – or something – is hunting them.

Day Of The Dead: Bloodline – A small group of military personnel and survivalists dwell in an underground bunker as they seek to find a cure in a world overrun by zombies.

The Open House – A teenager and his mother find themselves besieged by threatening forces when they move into a new house.

Headgame – A group of young people awake, locked inside a warehouse with cameras screwed into their heads. It becomes apparent that they are unwilling competitors in a deadly game, and they will need to murder each other if they hope to survive.

Unfriended: Dark Web – A teen comes into possession of a new laptop and soon discovers that the previous owner is not only watching him, but will also do anything to get it back.

Hellraiser: Judgment – Detectives Sean and David Carter are on the case to find a gruesome serial killer terrorizing the city. Joining forces with Detective Christine Egerton, they dig deeper into a spiraling maze of horror that may not be of this world.

The Toybox – An estranged family take a trip to the desert in their used RV but become stranded and isolated in the scorching terrain. They soon learn their RV holds terrible, haunting secrets, and it starts killing them off one by one.

Don’t Open Your Eyes – A home-care nurse takes a job, but as it proves to be his toughest yet; he is inadvertently pulled into something much more sinister.

Broken Star – Abandoned by her friends and family and with her career in jeopardy, starlet Markey Marlowe is sequestered in a duplex with a reclusive landlord who just may be more dangerous than she is.

Our House – A young genius accidentally invents a device that amplifies the paranormal activity within his family’s house, possibly bringing back the spirits of loved ones, and unleashing things far worse.

The Row – An incoming college freshman must endure cruel hazing rituals and somehow evade a demented serial killer who is targeting her sorority sisters.

Bad Match – An internet-dating playboy’s life spirals out of control after meeting a woman online.

Apartment 212 – A small-town girl wishing for a fresh start in the city is plagued by a mysterious, hungry presence coming for her at night.

The Farm – A young couple gets kidnapped and treated like farm animals after stopping at a roadside diner to eat meat.

Hell House LLC II: The Abaddon Hotel – It’s been eight years since the opening night tragedy of Hell House, LLC and still many unanswered questions remain. Thanks to an anonymous tip, investigative journalist Jessica Fox is convinced that key evidence is hidden inside the abandoned Abaddon Hotel-evidence that will shed light on the hotel’s mysteries.

Midnighters – Their marriage was already in trouble. Then came the accident and bad decisions. Their troubles just got so much worse.

The Strangers: Prey At Night – A family of four staying at a secluded mobile home park for the night are stalked and then hunted by three masked psychopaths.

Boarding School – A young boy becomes fascinated with the persona of his dead grandmother and is sent to an isolated boarding school for misfits run by a mysterious headmaster and his wife.

Odds Are – Three college students play a challenge game called Odds Are… It quickly erupts into a nightmare for the participants who find themselves caught in an unpredictable web of deceit and survival. Based on actual events.

Down a Dark Hall – A troubled teen named Kit Gordy is forced to join the exclusive Blackwood Boarding School, just to find herself trapped by dark forces around its mysterious headmistress, Madame Duret.

He’s Out There – On vacation at a remote lake house, a woman and her two young daughters fight to survive after falling into a terrifying and bizarre nightmare conceived by a psychopath.

Frenzy – A group of friends run a popular travel vlog that helps fund their adventures. Paige, the leader of the group, includes her younger sister, Lindsey, for the next scuba diving trip to an isolated cove. But when their plane crashes, the two sisters must use their strength, resourcefulness and immense courage to survive a pack of great white sharks.

Suspiria – A darkness swirls at the center of a world-renowned dance company, one that will engulf the artistic director, an ambitious young dancer, and a grieving psychotherapist. Some will succumb to the nightmare. Others will finally wake up.

The First Purge – America’s third political party, the New Founding Fathers of America, comes to power and conducts an experiment: no laws for 12 hours on Staten Island. No one has to stay on the island, but $5,000 is given to anyone who does.

Before Someone Gets Hurt – Tim and his team are the rising stars of the ghost hunting game. One thing they all like better than a good haunt is a great prank. Truth Or Dare – A harmless game of Truth or Dare among friends turns deadly when someone — or something — begins to punish those who tell a lie or refuse the dare.

Followers – A social media couple’s camping trip is ruined by filmmakers making a documentary on how easy it is to track someone down off social media and kill them.

14 Cameras – When a family of four rent a beautiful house for their summer vacation, the price seems too good to be true. Unbeknownst to them, the lascivious owner has set up a series of spy cams throughout the house, streaming their lives onto the dark net.

Well there you have it, my best & worst films of 2018, you probably disagree with some or even most (this is MY opinion) of my choices and I know for a fact that I have missed some (I can’t watch ALL the films) but this is MY best & worst so tell me in the comment box below, what’s yours?
