Sixteen years after a traumatic event, a mother and two daughters reunite at the house where it happened. But soon their reunion starts to take a bizarre turn.
Don’t you just love it when a film completely takes you by surprise.
I’ll be honest with you here, I saw what is admittedly a very generic and mediocre one sheet for this feature and my expectations were not exactly high. You can’t blame me, the amount of uninspiring one sheets we see for films all year round and it turns out to be the best thing about it.
Luckily this wasn’t one of those films, far from it, this actually turned out to be one of the most surprisingly imaginative films I’ve watched in quite a while. I was engrossed from beginning to end, talking of beginnings, this one has quite a brutal opening that I was not expecting at all.
This film has such a well crafted story, seriously, I couldn’t get over how well written this film was. To also be able to execute it on screen as well as they did is a testament to everyone involved. The story really takes you on an edge of your seat journey, you just have to strap yourself in for the ride.
I have to say I absolutely loved the sets for this film, absolutely beautifully dark. I know it sounds like I’m being vague about this feature and that’s because I am, I don’t want to give too much away as the less you know going into this film the better viewing experience you’ll have.
“Incident In A Ghostland” is a seriously well acted and well constructed film. How this has flown under the radar is not only incredible, it’s criminal. I strongly urge you to seek this film out, I know that I have found a new favourite Horror film and you might do too.
