
In this list I’m going to give you a run-down of my best & worst of 2020.

Trick – A no-nonsense detective tries to track down a mass murderer named Trick, who is terrorizing a small town.
Alone – A recently widowed traveler is kidnapped by a cold blooded killer, only to escape into the wilderness where she is forced to battle against the elements as her pursuer closes in on her.
Uncle Peckerhead – When a punk band scores their first tour, life on the road proves tough when they are joined by a man-eating demon as a roadie.
Host – Six friends hire a medium to hold a seance via Zoom during lockdown, but they get far more than they bargained for as things quickly go wrong.
Spree – Desperate for an online following, a rideshare driver has figured out a deadly plan to go viral and he will stop at nothing to get his five minutes of fame.
VFW – A group of old war veterans put their lives on the line to defend a young woman taking shelter in their local VFW post, who’s running from a deranged drug dealer and his relentless army of drug addled punks.
Color Out Of Space – A secluded farm is struck by a strange meteorite which has apocalyptic consequences for the family living there and possibly the world.
The Babysitter: Killer Queen – Two years after Cole survived a satanic blood cult, he’s living another nightmare: high school. And the demons from his past? Still making his life hell.
We Summon The Darkness – Three best friends cross paths with sadistic killers after they travel to a secluded country home to party.
Don’t Listen – After the strange death of his young son at their new home, Daniel hears a ghostly plea for help, spurring him to seek out a renowned paranormal expert.
The Empty Man – On the trail of a missing girl, an ex-cop comes across a secretive group attempting to summon a terrifying supernatural entity.
Underwater – A crew of oceanic researchers working for a deep sea drilling company try to get to safety after a mysterious earthquake devastates their deepwater research and drilling facility located at the bottom of the Mariana Trench.
Gretel And Hansel – A long time ago in a distant fairy tale countryside, a young girl leads her little brother into a dark wood in desperate search of food and work, only to stumble upon a nexus of terrifying evil.
Scare Package – Chad, the owner of Rad Chad’s Horror Emporium, recounts a series of bone-chilling, blood-splattered tales to illustrate the rules of the horror genre to his newest employee.
Yummy – An orgy of blood, violence and fun in which a young couple travel to a shabby Eastern European hospital for plastic surgery. Once there things unravel.
The Dinner Party – A budding playwright and his wife attend a dinner party hosted by wealthy, cultural elites, who have promised to bankroll the writer’s latest play to Broadway, but, in fact, have darker designs in mind for the couple.
Blood Quantum – The dead are coming back to life outside the isolated Mi’kmaq reserve of Red Crow, except for its Indigenous inhabitants who are strangely immune to the zombie plague.
Sea Fever – The crew of a West of Ireland trawler, marooned at sea, struggle for their lives against a growing parasite in their water supply.
The Hunt – Twelve strangers wake up in a clearing. They don’t know where they are, or how they got there. They don’t know they’ve been chosen – for a very specific purpose – The Hunt.
Becky – A teenager’s weekend at a lake house with her father takes a turn for the worse when a group of convicts wreaks havoc on their lives.
True Fiction – A young writer gets a job assisting her favourite horror writer, but she finds herself participating in an out-of-control psychological experiment.
Fantasy Island – When the owner and operator of a luxurious island invites a collection of guests to live out their most elaborate fantasies in relative seclusion, chaos quickly descends.
The Beach House – A romantic getaway for two troubled college sweethearts turns into a struggle for survival when unexpected guests – and the surrounding environment – exhibit signs of a mysterious infection.
Scare Me – During a power outage, two strangers tell scary stories. The more Fred and Fanny commit to their tales, the more the stories come to life in their Catskills cabin. The horrors of reality manifest when Fred confronts his ultimate fear.
The Platform – A vertical prison with one cell per level. Two people per cell. Only one food platform and two minutes per day to feed. An endless nightmare trapped in The Hole.
Spiral – A same-sex couple move to a small town to enjoy a better quality of life and raise their daughter with strong social values. But when neighbors throw a very strange party, nothing is as it seems in their picturesque neighborhood.
The Dark And The Wicked – On a secluded farm in a nondescript rural town, a man is slowly dying. His family gathers to mourn, and soon a darkness grows, marked by waking nightmares and a growing sense that something evil is taking over the family.
Extra Ordinary – Rose, a mostly sweet and lonely Irish driving instructor, must use her supernatural talents to save the daughter of Martin (also mostly sweet and lonely) from a washed-up rock star who is using her in a Satanic pact to reignite his fame.
Rent-a-Pal – A strange VHS tape allows a lonely bachelor named David to find companionship with Andy — its charming and charismatic host. However, Andy’s friendship comes at a cost, and David desperately struggles to afford the price of admission.
The Wretched – A defiant teenage boy, struggling with his parents’ imminent divorce, faces off with a thousand year-old witch, who is living beneath the skin of and posing as the woman next door.
Inheritance – A patriarch of a wealthy and powerful family suddenly passes away, leaving his daughter with a shocking secret inheritance that threatens to unravel and destroy the family.
His House – A refugee couple makes a harrowing escape from war-torn South Sudan, but then they struggle to adjust to their new life in an English town that has an evil lurking beneath the surface.
The Lodge – A soon-to-be stepmom is snowed in with her fiancé’s two children at a remote holiday village. Just as relations begin to thaw between the trio, some strange and frightening events take place.
Snatchers – After status-obsessed teen Sara has sex for the first time, she wakes up the next day nine months pregnant-with an alien.
Books Of Blood – A journey into uncharted and forbidden territory through three tales tangled in space and time.
The Grudge – A house is cursed by a vengeful ghost that dooms those who enter it with a violent death.
Possessor – Tasya Vos, an elite, corporate assassin, takes control of other people’s bodies using brain-implant technology to execute high-profile targets.
Black Water: Abyss – Five friends exploring a remote cave system in Northern Australia find themselves threatened by a hungry crocodile.
Triggered – Terror strikes when nine campers wake up with suicide bombs strapped to their chests, all with varying times on their countdown clocks.
The Wolf of Snow Hollow – Terror grips a small mountain town as bodies are discovered after each full moon. Losing sleep, raising a teenage daughter, and caring for his ailing father, officer Marshall struggles to remind himself there’s no such thing as werewolves.

Aquaslash – Terror awaits a group of high school graduates when a psychopath uses the unstoppable speed and turns of a water slide to his murderous advantage.
Verotika – Follows the surreal and bloody trilogy of erotic horror stories culled from Danzig’s comic.
The Turning – A young governess is hired to look after an orphaned girl, but the return of the girl’s problematic brother uncovers secrets from their past.
The Nights Before Christmas – An FBI agent tracks a pair of psychotic serial killers dressed as Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus.
A Dark Path – Two girls in Eastern Europe on their way home from a hen party in a car with no GPS signal headed for a very unusual forest local people will not venture into this forest.
Gags The Clown – An unidentified man in Green Bay, Wisconsin has captured worldwide attention for roaming the streets dressed as a clown. Many write it off as a harmless prank, others aren’t so sure.
Z – A family find themselves terrorized by their eight-year-old son’s imaginary friend.
Shortcut – A mysterious creature terrorizes five teenage friends after their bus takes a shortcut on a desolate road in the wild.
The Lurker – A group of theatre students, celebrating their final show, begin to slowly disappear one at a time.
Cut And Chop – A troubled method actor gets carried away with his work on a role, playing a butcher.
The Haunting Of Margam Castle – A team of American parapsychologists travel to Wales to conduct a study of Margam Castle, one of the UK’s most haunted buildings.
Asylum: Twisted Horror And Fantasy Tales – Horrific tales of terror include a fake exorcism, a sophisticated stalker, a husband who won’t stay dead and a gigantic robot.
The Craft: Legacy – An eclectic foursome of aspiring teenage witches get more than they bargained for as they lean into their newfound powers.
Peninsula – A zombie virus has in the last 4 years spread to all South Korea. 4 Koreans in HK sail thru the blockade to Incheon for USD20,000,000 on a truck.
Behind You – A girl unwittingly releases a malicious demon that haunted her mother and aunt years earlier.
The Honeymoon Phase – Struggling young lovers, Tom and Eve, must endure a 30-day scientific experiment. Room, board, $50,000 and a month alone together in research facility housing. What could possibly go wrong.
An English Haunting – In 1960s England, Blake Cunningham and his alcoholic mother move into the mysterious Clemonte Hall, an isolated manor house, to care for his dying grandfather, who resides in an attic room.
Penance Lane – An ex-convict discovers twisted horrors inside a dilapidated house after taking a job as a handyman.
Brahms: The Boy II – After a family moves into the Heelshire Mansion, their young son soon makes friends with a life-like doll called Brahms.
Kindred – Plagued by mysterious hallucinations, a pregnant woman suspects that the family of her deceased boyfriend has intentions for her unborn child.
Shifter – A young woman experiences painful and gruesome side effects after an experiment with time travel goes wrong.
Amulet – An ex-soldier, living homeless in London, is offered a place to stay at a decaying house inhabited by a young woman and her dying mother. As he starts to fall for her, he cannot ignore his suspicion that something sinister is going on.
Hosts – A family fall victim to a series of violent murders when they invite their neighbours over for Xmas dinner.
Castle Freak – An Albanian castle with bloodthirsty creatures is inherited by a young woman.
I Am Fear – Held captive by terrorists, celebrity reporter, Sara Brown, sits in a cell awaiting her filmed beheading. Sara’s captors wish to show the world the true face of terror but how can they, when even they have not seen it yet?
Unfamiliar – A British Army doctor comes back from a war, thinking that she has PTSD only to discover that there is a more daunting malevolence at work making the life that she knew unfamiliar.
Belzebuth – After losing his family in an extremely tragic way, Detective Ritter must investigate a massacre at a school perpetrated by a student. What seemed like a pretty clear case becomes much more dense when a priest of the Vatican appears with another point of view.
Monstrous – A young woman goes searching for answers after her friend mysteriously vanishes in Whitehall, NY, an Adirondack town known for its Bigfoot sightings.
After Midnight – When his girlfriend suddenly disappears, leaving a cryptic note as her only explanation, Hank’s comfortable life and his sanity begin to crack. Then, from the woods surrounding his house, something terrible starts trying to break in.
Star Light – A teen’s life is turned upside down when he helps a world-famous pop star on the run to escape her violent pursuers.
Browse – A man becomes convinced that a hacker stole his identity to manipulate him.
The Dead Ones – While serving detention for a horrific incident, four students are locked in a school and hunted by a gang dressed as the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse. While fighting to survive, each student must confront past traumas.
Pandamonium – Arielle’s first day at work spirals into Pandemonium as a serial killer locks his sights on the after office party.
A Wakefield Project – The veil between the living and the dead has lifted for 24 hours, would you survive?
Death Of Me – A vacationing couple must discover the mystery behind a strange video that shows one of them killing the other.
Let’s Scare Julie – A group of teen girls set out to scare their reclusive new neighbor, but the prank turns to terror when some of them don’t come back.
Centigrade – A married couple find themselves trapped in their frozen vehicle after a blizzard and struggle to survive amid plunging temperatures and unforeseen obstacles.
You’re Not Alone – An evil entity begins to torment a mother and daughter, who are forced to face the inexplicable presence that inhabits the walls of their new home.
Well there you have it, my best & worst films of 2020! You may disagree with some or even most of my choices (this is MY opinion) and I know for a fact that I have missed some (I can’t watch ALL the films).
