Don’t you just love it when a film surprises you.
Ever since I was little I’ve had claustrophobia, so when it comes to isolated location films like this it freaks me out a little. But hey, isn’t that the point?
That was the main reason for me watching this film, that and the curiosity I had after I’d seen the trailer just wouldn’t leave me be. In all honesty I wasn’t expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised.
The writing team for this flick did an amazing job of making this much more than a plain and simple story, it’s much harder to write a Horror/thriller that also touches on political and serious issues, very effective. It’s also very much helped by a great cast.
This is a ‘the less you know, the better’ type of film, so if this review seems short then that’s why. I’d even recommend you don’t watch the trailer to get the full mystery of the feature.
“Alpha Alert” is a great feature, it actually has three names (I have no idea why) – “Alpha Alert”, “Event 15” and “Trauma”. Give it a try, hopefully you’ll enjoy it as much as I did.
