Who doesn’t love a good Zombie film?!
I’ve loved zombies ever since I was little and thought it was about time I did a list of my favourites.
I would like to point out that you won’t see any George A Romero Zombie films as he would take up most of this list, but it goes without saying that they should be in anyone’s top Zombie list.
So here it is, my list of my top fifteen Zombie films (the list is not in a favouritism order):
Barry is a talented mechanic and family man whose life is torn apart on the eve of a zombie apocalypse.
Strangers looking for a woman’s father arrive at a tropical island where a doctor desperately searches for the cause and cure of a recent epidemic of the undead.
A dedicated student at a medical college and his girlfriend become involved in bizarre experiments centering around the re-animation of dead tissue when an odd new student arrives on campus.
A young man turns to a witch doctor to lure the woman he loves away from her fiance, but instead turns her into a zombie slave.
A fellow scientist accidentally escapes containment aboard a plane during a turbulence.
A young Canadian nurse, Betsy Connell, arrives in St. Sebastian in the West Indies to care for Jessica Holland, wife of wealthy sugar plantation owner Paul Holland.
A ski vacation turns horrific for a group of medical students, as they find themselves confronted by an unimaginable menace: Nazi zombies.
A janitor gets trapped in a women’s restroom and encounters an all-out attack by a horde of zombies.
Visitors to a remote island discover that a reclusive Nazi commandant has been breeding a group of Zombie soldiers.
An end of the world battle between gangsters, cops and zombies.
An anthropologist goes to Haiti after hearing rumours about a drug used by black magic practitioners to turn people into zombies.
When two bumbling employees at a medical supply warehouse accidentally release a deadly gas into the air, the vapours cause the dead to rise again as zombies.
A man decides to turn his moribund life around by winning back his ex-girlfriend, reconciling his relationship with his mother, and dealing with an entire community that has returned from the dead to eat the living.
Behind a young family’s home in Maine is a terrible secret that holds the power of life after death. When tragedy strikes, the threat of that power soon becomes undeniable.
A young man’s mother is bitten by a Sumatran rat-monkey. She gets sick and dies, at which time she comes back to life, killing and eating dogs, nurses, friends, and neighbours.
Exit Humanity (2011)
Return Of The Living Dead III (1993)
The Battery (2012)
Let Sleeping Corpses Lie (1974)
For those of you wondering why I haven’t got films such as “Evil Dead”, “28 Days Later”, “Doghouse”, “Night Of The Creeps”, “[Rec]”, “The Crazies”, “Pontypool”, “Night Of The Comet”, “Nightmare City” etc it’s because they’re more virus or possession films, not zombie films.
