Horror Review: Something In The Woods (2016)

Follow the Hartman family and their dealings with a legendary creature when it begins coming around their farm house deep in the woods in the late 1960s.

I’m a huge fan of the ‘Bigfoot’ legend so when I got the chance to review this film I seized the opportunity.

The film is based on the Bigfoot legend story – “The Cowman Of Copolis Beach” – don’t worry if you’re not familiar with the story as you’re in for a special treat.
What you’ve got here is a story driven film that is packed full of tension and is suitable for the whole family to watch, a rarity in this genre.
Sure the acting is a bit stiff, the sound can be a bit off and a better editing job would’ve helped but in all honesty it just doesn’t matter, I was so entertained by the story itself that it was easy to ignore this stuff and just enjoy it for what it is.
I also have to give kudos to the makeup team for their amazing work, the Bigfoot is one of the best and most realistic I’ve seen on screen.
“Something In The Woods” is a good addition to the list of Bigfoot films, if you get a chance to watch it I recommend you give it a try.
