My Top Ten Killer Doll Films

Creepy dolls, killer dolls, dolls are just bloody terrifying!

What is it about them that freaks us out? Also what is it that makes us want to see them kill people?

So here it is, my list of my top ten Doll films (the list is not in a favouritism order):

Magic (1978)

A ventriloquist is at the mercy of his vicious dummy while he tries to renew a romance with his high school sweetheart.

Dolls (1987)

A group of people stop by a mansion during a storm and discover two magical toy makers, and their haunted collection of dolls.

Child’s Play (1988)

A single mother gives her son a much sought after doll for his birthday, only to discover that it is possessed by the soul of a serial killer.

The Dummy (2000)

A ventriloquist’s dummy with a mind of its own can’t resist its homicidal impulses and cuts a bloody swath through a peaceful suburb.

Tourist Trap (1979)

A group of young friends stranded at a secluded roadside museum are stalked by the owner of the place, who has the power to control his collection of mannequins.

Devil Doll (1964)

An evil hypnotist/ventriloquist plots to gain an heiress’ millions.

Puppetmaster (1989)

Psychics find themselves plotted against by a former colleague, who committed suicide after discovering animated, murderous puppets.

Dolly Dearest (1991)

An American family moves to Mexico to fabricate dolls, but their toy factory happens to be next to a Sanzian grave and the toys come into possession of an old, malicious spirit.

Pinocchio’s Revenge (1996)

A mother brings home an evil Pinocchio wooden puppet that supposedly caused a man to kill his son. Her little girl finds the doll and takes it as her own. They go along causing accidents until the real killings start and the doll takes over the little girl.

Demonic Toys (1992)

A pregnant policewoman, her quarry, and an innocent delivery boy become trapped in a haunted toy warehouse.
