A family takes refuge in a fallout shelter to avoid a dangerous outbreak.
I’m a sucker post-apocalyptic films so it was only a matter of time before I watched this.
I went into this film blind, I’d only read the synopsis, and I love it when I’m able to do that. It’s a rarity these days and I feel like sometimes it can help you enjoy a film even more.
From the off the film has a big claustrophobic feel to it and manages to draw you into the world they’re projecting and you feel like you’re right there with them.
I applaud Directors Matt and Ross Duffer, they let the film slowly burn so every last bit of tension is squeezed out and it pays off so well and adds to the film’s atmosphere.
This was their first full length feature and I will definitely be looking out for their work in the future. The actors did a great job and managed to keep you interested and invested in them.
“Hidden” is a rare treat and I encourage you to give it a try.
