Horror Review: Howl (2015)

When passengers on a train are attacked by a creature, they must band together in order to survive until morning.
I must admit that I’m not the biggest fan of Werewolf films but there are the odd few that I do like and this one just made the list.
This film was recommended to me by a couple of friends of mine, they’ve usually been pretty spot on with their recommendations so I thought I should at least give it a chance and decided to watch it.
I found myself really enjoying the film, sure it’s no “Dog Soldiers” but let’s be honest, nothing is going to beat that film when it comes to an English Horror film about Werewolves.
The acting is pretty good and the group of characters are well written, a little cliched maybe but that’s not always a bad thing, it has a familiarity to it so you can just jump into the story without needing a whole lot of build up.
As Werewolf films go this wasn’t that bad, I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would and found it to be one of my new favourites of the sub genre, a subgenre that I tend to not enjoy so that says a lot.
“Howl” is an entertaining film, if you’re in need of a fix of Werewolves you could do a lot worse than this.
