A documentary about one of the most beloved & feared horror icons of our generation, Robert Englund.
As a huge fan of Robert Englund (who isn’t?) I’m ecstatic to hear that this documentary is being made. I’ll leave it to the film-makers to fill in all the details for you:
From Dead Mouse Productions Ltd and Cult Screenings UK Ltd, makers of Leviathan: The Story of Hellraiser and Hellbound: Hellraiser II, You’re so cool, Brewster! The Story of Fright Night and RoboDoc: The Creation of RoboCop and Pennywise: The Story of IT comes this brand-new documentary ICON: The Robert Englund Story. A fully independent retrospective documentary which will explore who the man behind the mask and glove truly is, charting his early days in TV and Film to his current stratospheric status in the horror universe. Including intimate interviews with friends and colleagues as well as the man himself ICON will answer the fundamental question ‘was playing an iconic movie character a gift or a double-edged sword for such versatile and talented actors?’
With exclusive interviews with the man himself and supported by dozens of the cast and crew of Robert’s movies as well as Horror Icons including Eli Roth, Dennis Christopher, Kane Hodder, Heather Langenkamp, Miko Hughes, Stephen Geoffreys, Ken Kirzinger, Robert Kurtzman and many more. ICON will cover some of Robert’s classic movies including Nightmare on Elm Street, The Mangler, The Phantom of the Opera, Wishmaster, Urban Legend, 976-Evil, Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon, Dance Macabre and many more.
